Client: Single Men's Magazine (SMM)
When Single Men's Magazine needed an effective way to deliver their magazine online without the hassle of creating individual jpegs and struggling to customize xml files, they came to us. We created a custom backend (via GRID-XML) with simple management functions, so that uploading a new issue was a relatively easy process.
For the site, we replaced their "page flipper" plugin with something we like to call MagFeed. It's a system reminiscent of the periodical machines found in your local libraries (those places with those free paper things called books). The idea was that you can slide from page to page in a pretty transition or spam the next/previous buttons to land on the page you are looking for. There's also a thumbnail preview of each page to jump a specific page.
